Solid Budget Cloud Storage, but with a Few Caveats. For a fairly inexpensive cloud storage service, I think FolderFort is pretty good, especially in terms of its upload and download speeds. However, it is worth noting that there are still several shortcomings. The Android app currently feels underdeveloped, and there are limitations on their WebDAV/SFTP features since they still rely on a credit system. But, as long as you stick to the Web UI, I think FolderFort is a quite solid option. One important note: If you want to upload photos and preserve their GPS metadata, you are better off uploading them via WebDAV using rclone or a sync app like FolderSync. I discovered that GPS metadata gets stripped to zero when photos are uploaded directly through the web interface. Overall, I am quite satisfied, and considering the budget-friendly price, these shortcomings are definitely tolerable.

I have been using this with my Android Tablet so the uploading is a bit slow, usingthe website. I have a problem with logging in to the app and have reached out to customer service, waiting for response. I am glad I bought the lifetime 1TB once I get the bugs worked out I hope to store all my essentials.

This is a great deal to have a one-time price for encrypted online cloud storage and save versus a monthly subscription. This is the second deal I bought lifetime, and the process was well explained and simple to add this to my existing storage capacity. They have now added an app for access, and continue to improve the service. I have recently uploaded over 1.5TB of data, but has to be done in approximately 100GB zip files. I highly recommend for long term storage backup like that, and create another folder for data more frequently needing to be accessed.
